The dance has four sections:
1.) "All about that bass"
2.) "Sledgehammer"
3.) "Shake it off"
4.) "Lips are movin"

We finished the first section, about 2/3 of the fourth section, and the general idea of the third section (that section is just cartwheels and/or round-offs).

I have three different videos for each section that we learned 2-15 (the first and fourth sections). Video one has learning the moves, video two is doing the movies without music, and the third video is with the music. Please note that we spent much longer than the time in the videos learning a few of the movies. We didn't move straight from doing the dance with me "singing" the words to the music, either. We first practiced with a slowed down version of the music. Also, these videos are mirror images

Download/listen to the music here.

At practice on 12-14, we learned four cheers. If you missed practice, don't worry too much. We did learn cheers but we had a lot out sick.

We will have one more practice (Jan 4) before our first game, Jan 10. Try to bring your $4 for the cheerleading bow if you are able to do so at the next practice.

The video for one of these cheers is below. I am trying to find if I have video for two of the others. One of the cheers was taught to me by one of my cheerleaders last year and I do not have a video yet.

Please note that this video was recorded last year and the team name is incorrectWhen applicable, the team name should be "Huskies" and not "Falcons."

Note: for all cheers, I start out facing backward so you can see which arm I am using. Then, I turn around and do the cheer facing you, using the same arm.

In cheer notation x means clap and / means stomp

1. "Stomp & Shake it"

4. "Victory"

At practice, we also learned how to do toe-touches and tuck jumps.

They will be distributed at the end of practice, after the girls are done showing off what they've learned for the day (so at approx. 2:25).

I will also get our site's calendar updated as soon as I get a hold of the schedule.

For this season, your child will need:
  1. White shoes
  2. Black cheerleading briefs
  3. White turtleneck/cheerleading bodysuit
I will be making the bows. They will probably be about $4. If you can pay me back the $4, that would be great, but I understand if you cannot.

You can purchase your cheerleading briefs at Aggies in Harrodsburg, or online. You used to be able to buy briefs at Thoroughbred Threads in Danville, but as they're closing and/or bought out, I'm not sure what the stock would be like. Below are some links to order online.
You can purchase your cheerleading bodysuit at  Aggies or any place where you can buy a turtleneck. Again, Thoroughbred Threads used to stock these bodysuits, but I'm not sure their current status. If you can't find a bodysuit/turtleneck in a store, below are some links to order online.
**With the crop tops, you may find your child is off the size chart (too small) for even the smallest one. In that case, if you went with that option, you would find that it would fit more like a turtleneck than like the bodysuits you see on like the UK cheerleaders.
